Twenty new cases of COVID-19 were announced in the June 25 update by Adrian Dix, Minister of Health, and Dr. Bonnie Henry, B.C.'s provincial health officer, for a total of 2,869 cases.

There are 179 active cases and 2,517 recoveries. Currently, 15 people are hospitalized with seven in intensive care. Two more people have died, one in the Vancouver Coastal Health region and one in the Fraser Health region for a total of 173 deaths.

There are still no new cases in the Northern Health region, and 65 recoveries.

Six long-term care or assisted-living facilities, one acute care facility, and two community locations have outbreaks still, but none new have been identified.

One of the new cases is an adult linked to a public school in the Fraser Health region. Public health and education teams were able to quickly respond, notifying close contacts. No students have been affected.

B.C. is beginning to transition in to phase three of their restart plan, meaning businesses such as the film industry, hotels and spas can reopen with safety precautions and measures in place.
