On Feb. 24, B.C. reported 456 new cases of COVID-19 from 9,187 tests, for an active total of 4,668. There’s now been 72,219 recoveries.

Right now, 237 people are hospitalized, with 64 of these in intensive care. Two more COVID-related deaths were reported, for a total of 1,338 since the start of the pandemic.

Of the new cases, 20 were in the Northern Health region from 282 tests completed. There are 264 active cases, 4,057 recoveries and 105 total deaths. Right now, 34 of the active cases are in the hospital, with 12 of these in critical care.

On Wednesdays, the B.C. Centre for Disease Control shares the numbers of COVID-19 cases for the previous Sunday to Saturday by Local Health Area. Over the previous week, Feb. 14 to 20, Peace River North had 31 new cases and Peace River South had 22.

Provincially, 230,875 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered.
