The County of Grande Prairie is encouraging students pursuing or enrolled in post-secondary studies in the fields of business, commerce, or public administration at an Alberta post-secondary institution to apply for the Ron Pfau Memorial Scholarship.

The scholarship was formed in commemoration of long-time administrator Ron Pfau, who served as the County’s Chief Administrative Officer for more than 20 years.

One successful applicant will receive a $500 scholarship.

To qualify, applicants must be:

  • Currently live in the County of Grande Prairie, or have previously lived and still have parents/guardians living in the County of Grande Prairie;
  • A Canadian citizen or landed immigrant; and,
  • Entering or enrolled in an Alberta post-secondary education institution in the fields of business, commerce, or public office administration.

Along with academic achievement, the selection committee will consider community involvement, such as involvement in clubs, athletic or cultural activities, volunteerism, personal projects, and other achievements when selecting the scholarship recipient.
