Residents are invited to participate in the City’s annual City Scrub, a community clean-up to pick up and properly dispose of garbage and litter that has accumulated over the winter months.

This year, the community clean-up takes place from May 1 to 7 and residents are encouraged to take 20 minutes to pick up garbage in parks and neighbourhoods close to their homes. Once litter is collected, it can be disposed in your curbside garbage cart alongside regular household trash.

Free supplies are available for participants to help clean up our community, including garbage bags and gloves.

Supply pick-up locations:

• City Hall

• Muskoseepi Park

• Eastlink Centre

• Grande Prairie Museum

• City Service Centre

Large groups supplies are available and may be arranged by emailing cityscrub@cityofgp.com.

Participants whose bags do not fit into their curbside garbage bin may pick up a bag tag at the listed facilities for no charge.

Interested parties may find more information, including safety tips, at cityofgp.com/cityscrub or contact the City by calling 311 or emailing cityscrub@cityofgp.com.
