Grammy-nominated and Platinum-certified singer and songwriter Anne Wilson has officially released her sophomore album.

The new project, REBEL, which features 16 tracks, hit shelves and streaming platforms on Friday.

"I have worked so hard on this record and getting it out to y’all," said Annie in a post on Facebook. "I poured my heart and soul into every single song. This writing process was the most freeing experience I’ve ever had. I enjoyed every moment so much and will never forget that season of my life."

Anne says when she thinks about this new album, all she can see is the faithfulness of God.

"He called this little 15-year-old girl from Kentucky out of the tragic loss of her brother and has brought me on the most incredible journey. I would be nowhere without You Jesus."

The title REBEL comes from Wilson describing herself as a rebel because she doesn't fit in any singular box and embraces the differences that make her unique. She also considers herself a rebel because she’s not afraid to sing (or talk) about her faith.

"You know, my generation struggles a lot with feeling like we have permission to talk about our faith. We can come out and say it without being judged, you know? So, I think for me, I’m gonna be a rebel. I’m gonna stand up for what I believe in. I’m gonna love my country. I’m gonna love God. I’m gonna stand up for the things that I believe in. I’m not gonna follow the world or the ways of the world, but I’m gonna follow Jesus and my faith, and that’s what makes me a rebel.”

Wilson is currently preparing for her Rebel Launch party, set to take place on Sunday at the Lexington Opera House in Kentucky.
