Alberta saw its highest daily case numbers reported Oct. 21, with 406 new cases. This was from 14,904 tests completed. 

There are now 3,373 active cases in the province, with 19,734. There were 234 recoveries reported Oct. 21. 

Currently, 113 people are in the hospital with the virus, with 16 of these in intensive care. Three more people have died, for a total of 296.  

There were mostly recoveries in the Peace Region, with just a few new cases found.  

One person recovered in the County of Grande Prairie, leaving six active cases and bringing recoveries to 66. In the City, there was no change; 57 cases are active and there’s been 126 recoveries. 

There were three recoveries in Big Lakes County and one in County of Northern Lights, the MD of Peace and the MD of Smoky River.  

The MD of Spirit River and the MD of Greenview each had one new case identified.
