It was only a matter of time for the Alberta Junior Hockey League as they have their first positive COVID-19 case.

An unnamed player on the Whitecourt Wolverines tested positive for COVID-19 Wednesday, November 4 and has sent the team into Alberta Health Services protocol, which states:

 - Teams that have more than one participant with COVID symptoms should postpone game activity.

 - Teams with one participant that has tested positive for COVID will be required to postpone game activity, follow recommendations for isolation and quarantine set out by Alberta Health Services.

The Wolverines were awaiting their regular season schedule but will likely see their official start date postponed due to the positive test.

In a Tweet, the AJHL says no further information on the matter will be provided.
