When all electric power suddenly stops, a small town works to survive as they rediscover the true meaning of community. A new family adventure show!

A new TV pilot will be exploring that topic when it premieres at Grande Prairie Live Theatre on August 25.

Director and Co-Creator of Afterlight Rew Jones of Grande Prairie says the show looks at what could happen if electricity were to stop working.

“It’s the story of a small town and the community that lives there when all of the sudden all electricity on earth disappears. It’s not even just the power grid; it’s batteries, cars and generators. They have to figure out how to move forward and start to work out what’s going on.”

The pilot was written by Jones and his wife and was filmed in Sexsmith and the Grande Prairie area. While looking for filming locations, Jones says they were really searching for a place that would highlight the northern part of the province.
