Active COVID-19 cases in Grande Prairie down to 333

In the City of Grande Prairie, active cases continue to decrease, with 333 active and 3,419 recoveries.  

In the County of Grande Prairie, there are now 101 active cases and 1,214 recoveries. 

Peace Region totals: 

Provincially, Alberta reported 877 new cases from 8,081 tests completed and our positivity rate is about 11.4 per cent. Right now, 20,013 cases are active in the province. With 2,148 more people recovering, the recovered total has reached 198,394. 

There’s 691 people in the hospital with the virus, with 187 of these in intensive care. This is 13 more hospitalizations than reported yesterday and six more ICU admissions. In the North Zone, there’s 88 people in the hospital with 16 of these admitted to intensive care. 

Alberta has reported four more COVID-related deaths, for a total of 2,152 since the start of the pandemic.  

There have now been 2,217,446 vaccine doses administered, with 329,613 Albertans fully immunized with two doses.
