The City of Grande Prairie is pleased to now introduce online booking for Grande Prairie Accessible Transit (GPAT) riders.

The new booking option provides greater convenience and flexibility for riders to book their trips.

To book online, registered users can create an account at gpat.app.ridewithvia.com. The website also allows registered users to track their bus and receive text notifications the day before their ride, 15 minutes prior to the bus arrival and when the bus arrives. A mobile app is being made available later in the year. Booking through the dispatch office at 780-830-RIDE (7433) is still available.

GPAT is an accessible, door-to-door shared transit service for people with permanent or temporary disabilities that prevent them from using fixed-route transit without assistance from another person.

It includes:

• Fixed-route service with the use of low-floor buses with ramps and securement equipment for wheelchairs and scooters, on fixed routes and schedules.

• Shared door-to door service The service is available to any resident of the City of Grande Prairie and to residents in the County of Grande Prairie who live within 5 km of the City Limits (including Clairmont), regardless of age or income, who are unable to use the regular bus service due to a physical or cognitive disability.

Riders must apply to register to use the service. The city is excited to introduce the new online booking option to improve accessibility and provide greater customer service for riders.
