The brothers in Canadian band Manic Drive have announced that their mother passed away.

Mike and Shawn Cavallo made the announcement Tuesday evening through the band's social media.

"Heaven sent Angels to bring our beloved Mother home this morning. Not before leaving behind some heaven for us to cherish. She was a woman of heart, vision, passion, and endless love," they say.

The Cavallo brothers have often attributed their success to their mother's love and encouragement. That included driving the boys to Nashville when they were young to check out the music scene. On visiting Nashville's Bridgestone Arena they say their mother joked "you'll perform here one day!" That motherly prediction came true in the spring of 2019 when Manic Drive performed there as part of the Winter Jam tour.

"She was more than an inspiration, as her actions, whether small or grand, will echo in the hearts of men and women whose paths she has crossed," the boys write.

"In life, we would lovingly tease her for not being musically gifted, yet, she is singing more than ever with a choir of heavenly hosts."

Hundreds of fans have commented with their condolences online.

While they grieve the loss of their mom, Mike and Shawn say they know that they will meet again. "It is with endless thanks, and tearful eyes that we say good-bye . . . but not farewell."
