The Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation is responding to meet the needs of front-line healthcare workers and hospital staff by collecting messages of thanks and donations.

#GivingTuesdayNow is a global day of giving and generosity that is happening today (May 5) as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. It is an opportunity for people around the world to stand together in unity - to use their individual power of generosity to remain connected and to heal physically and mentally.

“We want people to know that every act of kindness, generosity and compassion as well as every donation makes a difference” stated Keith Curtis, Executive Director.

Curtis continued with “There is no reason that our physical separation means we can’t provide the financial, emotional and social supports that nurture our patients, their families and our region. This is what #GivingTuesdayNow is about, it’s about nurturing all of the communities in our region. It’s about showing and sharing the heartfelt gratitude of our region with our healthcare workers and hospital staff.”
