In the City of Grande Prairie, there is now 244 active cases of COVID-19 reported today (May 20), and 38 people recovered, for a total of 3536 people that have fully recovered from COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic.   

In the County of Grande Prairie, there are now 84 active cases of COVID-19, with a total of 1,239 people that have recovered from the virus.

Provincially, Alberta reported 812 new cases from 9,038 tests completed and our positivity rate is about 9.3 per cent. Right now, 17,675 cases are active in the province. The recovered total now sits at 202,442. 

There’s 665 people in the hospital with the virus, with 177 of these in intensive care. In the North Zone, there’s 77 people in the hospital with 13 of these admitted to intensive care. 

Alberta has reported four more COVID-related deaths, for a total of 2,162 since the start of the pandemic.  

There have now been 2,312,821 vaccine doses administered, with 335,482 Albertans fully immunized with two doses.
