Today June 29th, 2021 just before 12:30, the Grande Prairie Fire Department responded to reports of a structure fire in the Avondale neighbourhood. Upon arrival, smoke and flames were visible and the fire was venting out of the windows. Fire crews worked quickly on scene to safely contain and extinguish the fire.

There were no injuries reported during this incident and however 3 occupants were displaced.

No further details to report at this time. Investigation into the cause is still underway.
