2019 Canada Winter Games Announce Torchbearers

Over 100 inspiring Canadians were named yesterday as torchbearers in the National MNP Canada Games Torch Relay.  Two torchbearers are from Grande Prairie.

Leigh Goldie is the Chair of the Grande Prairie Sport Council, President of Volleyball Alberta and a member of the Arctic Winter Games International Committee. She was the Sport Co-Director for the 2018 Alberta Summer Games in Grande Prairie and the Co-Director of Care and Comfort for the 2010 Arctic Winter Games in Grande Prairie. Leigh is also a Master Coach Developer for the National Coaching Certification Program.

Riley Larue is a 13-year-old homeschool student and a parkour enthusiast. Riley spends his time interacting with people across the continent through games and taking care of his rabbits and chickens.
