The province has added 785 new cases of COVID-19 today (Jan. 15), from 13,575 tests completed, for a positivity rate of about 5.8%. 

Right now, 12,189 cases are active in the province. With 1,017 more people recovering, the recovered total has reached 101,779. 

There’s 796 people in the hospital with the virus, with 124 of these in intensive care. This is 10 fewer hospitalizations than reported yesterday, and 12 fewer ICU admissions. In the North Zone, there’s 77 people in the hospital with seven of these admitted to intensive care. 

Alberta has reported 13 more COVID-related deaths, for a total of 1,402 since the start of the pandemic.  

There have now been 74,110 vaccines administered. 

In the City of Grande Prairie, 12 new cases were added, and 12 people recovered. The active total is 187 with 788 recoveries. 

In the County of Grande Prairie, 10 cases were added, and there were no recoveries. There’s now 58 active cases and 236 recoveries.
