100 Avenue between 100 Street and 102 Street is confirmed to open to vehicle traffic and parking by Monday, October 29.

Transit Routes 2 and 4 will also return to their regular routes on this day.

Construction on Phase 3 of the Downtown Rehabilitation and Streetscapes Project began on May 14, 2018 and was expected to last until October. Crews have worked diligently to replace and upgrade over 1000 meters of storm, sanitary, and water pipe in 5-and-a-half months.

Crews have also completed roadway paving, line painting, and the installation of streetlights and trees. Crews will be completing some work along the sidewalks, this includes:

  • Landscaping
  • Installation of remaining section of paving stones
  • Installation of signs, tree grates and streetscape furniture
  • Electrical work

The City thanks residents and businesses for their cooperation and patience during construction as we strengthen our core.
