Starting tonight, September 16, a traffic pattern switch over will take place on the 100 Street construction project taking place in front of the Prairie Mall.

Northbound traffic on 100 Street will be switched over to southbound lanes at 116 Avenue and returning to northbound lane at 128 Avenue. Southbound traffic will be switched back to southbound lanes.

On Monday, the east side of the 121 Avenue and 100 Street will be closed for one week to replace the roadway and storm facilities under the road. These are being replaced at the same time to minimize future disruptions and maintenance.

Traffic will not be able to cross 121 Avenue. A detour will be in place at 124 Avenue.

Transit Routes 1-8 are expected to be delayed due to construction detours. Routes 4 and 8 are rerouting starting Monday, September 19, to accommodate construction.

  • Route 4: Stops 424 (102 Street between 121 Avenue and 124 Avenue) and 426 (121 Avenue between 100 Street and 102 Street) closed
    • Redirect to new stop 422 (Royal Oaks Drive and 103B Street)

  • Route 8: Stop 822 (121 Avenue and 100 Street) closed
    • Redirect to stop 820 (102 Street and 120 Avenue)

The closure is anticipated to last for one week, weather permitting.

The City thanks all commuters for their patience and cooperation as we complete these infrastructure improvements to better serve our growing community.
