30th Annual Fiddlers Jamboree Featured

WHEN: Sunday, April 2 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

WHERE: the Douglas J Cardinal Performing Arts Centre in the Grande Prairie Regional College (10726 106 Ave.).

Admission is $25 for adults or $15 for youth under 17 years of age.

Tickets are available at the Grande Prairie Museum, located in Muskoseepi Park, or by phone at 780-830-7090.

Advanced purchase is highly recommended.

What to Expect
Spectators of all ages can enjoy an afternoon of traditional and modern fiddling music and dance, from novice to senior professional.

The event, now in its 30th year, honours the intangible heritage of our community’s and regions rich culture through music and dance.

Performances are influenced from Irish, Scottish, English, Metis, Scandinavian, Danish and East Indian heritage.

The Jamboree is a unique opportunity for Fiddlers and fiddling enthusiasts in western Canada and the Northwest Territories and beyond to come together as a community to celebrate music and diversity.
