The County of Grande Prairie has officially launched our 6th Business Retention & Expansion (BR + E) survey to better understand the future plans and needs of local businesses and how business owners/managers view the community as a place to do business. The information from the survey will be used to plan future economic development activities focused on the top priorities of local businesses, and to monitor business community trends over time.

Businesses are encouraged to participate in the survey and since selection is random, they may be contacted by telephone or email between April 29th, 2024, to May 17th, 2024 to participate. The survey should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete.

“This survey is a vital tool for capturing your unique perspectives—detailing your needs, wants, and the obstacles you encounter. I strongly encourage every business leader to participate, as your valuable feedback will directly influence our strategic planning and economic development initiatives. Let's work together to ensure our community not only meets but exceeds the expectations of those who drive its economic engine”., said Reeve Bob Marshall

The County of Grande Prairie has retained Deloitte LLP, an economic development consulting firm to assist with the project. Deloitte will work with County staff to review the completed surveys for challenges and opportunities that the local business community is facing.

Surveys results will be presented publicly at a Council meeting later this year.
