At the Regular Meeting of Council held on March 25th, Council adopted changes to the Fees and Charges Bylaw. The changes include a shift in prices over the next few years, working towards a universal rate for a multi-facility punch card in Dawson Creek. In the future, patrons will be able to use this punch card at the arenas, climbing wall, pool or recreation programs.

As of May 1, 2024, rates are making a shift towards a universal pricing structure. Users will see increases, decreases and some price holds in order to implement the multi-facility punch card. All active punch cards and passes already sold will remain valid.

Rate changes

Effective May 1, 2024, the following changes will occur:

Arenas

  • Private and Commercial rental prices will be reduced.
  • Public skate and punch card prices will see some increases. By May 1, 2025, they will match the swim rates to allow for the universal recreational punch card.

Climbing Wall

  • All climbing prices will see a decrease in both adult and youth rates to match the swim rates.

Pool

  • Locker token prices will be reduced from $0.55 to $0.50, tax included.
  • Swim prices will increase by a nominal amount to align with other increases.

Recreation Programs

  • A universal pricing structure for drop in recreation programs has been created, along with a new option to purchase punch cards. View the programs available online.
